Intellectual honesty

“The secret of success is sincerity. If you can fake that you’ve got it made.”
[Unknown Source]

The most basic aspect of righteous and virtuous government is basic honesty, humility, and complete transparency. The greatest enemy of intellectual honesty is personal pride or greed. George Orwell said on this subject:

“Political language… is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.” ~ George Orwell

“All rulers in all ages have tried to impose a false view of the world upon their followers.” ~ George Orwell

“However much you deny the truth, the truth goes on existing.” ~ George Orwell

“Real power is achieved when the ruling class controls the material essentials of life, granting and withholding them from the masses as if they were privileges.” ~ George Orwell

“There is no swifter route to the corruption of thought than through the corruption of language” ~ George Orwell

“In a time of universal deceit – telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” ~ George Orwell

“All tyrannies rule through fraud and force, but once the fraud is exposed they must rely exclusively on force.” ~ George Orwell

“The people will believe what the media tells them they believe.” ~ George Orwell

“In our age there is no such thing as ‘keeping out of politics.’ All issues are political issues, and politics itself is a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred and schizophrenia.” ~ George Orwell

“Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.” ~ George Orwell

Those in a government who chronically and irresponsibly deficit spend are under economic coercion to produce revenue and will often say anything necessary to get the revenue they want from you as the target. Unfortunately, there are few effective disciplinary tools you can use that ensure a government worker will tell you the truth or not act out of unadulterated self interest and conflict of financial interest. This is because no one in government is legally responsible for:

  1. The accuracy of anything they say or publish, unless it is provided under penalty of perjury. See:
Reasonable Belief About Income Tax Liability, Form #05.007
    https://sedm.org/Forms/05-MemLaw/ReasonableBelief.pdf
  2. Respecting your autonomy, equality, and self-ownership by simply LEAVING YOU ALONE, which is what legal “justice” is defined as. See:

“No right is held more sacred, or is more carefully guarded, by the common law, than the right of every individual to the possession and control of his own person, free from all restraint or interference of others, unless by clear and unquestionable authority of law. As well said by Judge Cooley; “The right to one’s person may be said to be a right of complete immunity: to be let alone.” Cooley on Torts, 29.”
    [Union Pac. R. Co. v. Botsford, 141 U.S. 250, 251 (1891)]

“The makers of our Constitution undertook to secure conditions favorable to the pursuit of happiness. They recognized the significance of man’s spiritual nature, of his feelings and of his intellect. They knew that only a part of the pain, pleasure and satisfactions of life are to be found in material things. They sought to protect Americans in their beliefs, their thoughts, their emotions and their sensations. They conferred, as against the Government, the right to be let alone – the most comprehensive of rights and the right most valued by civilized men.”
    [Olmstead v. United States, 277 U.S. 438, 478 (1928) (Brandeis, J., dissenting);  see also Washington v. Harper, 494 U.S. 210 (1990);

Justice is the end of government. It is the end of civil society. It ever has been, and ever will be pursued, until it be obtained, or until liberty be lost in the pursuit.”
[The Federalist No. 51 (1788)James Madison]

  3. Police:
3.1. Telling you the truth during a criminal investigation by police.
3.2. Prosecuting criminals who hurt you.
3.3. Delivering the service you paid for. For instance, you can’t sue the police if you call them and they don’t come and you get injured.
  4. Paying you the “benefits” you allegedly earned by paying into the Social Security system. The U.S. Supreme Court has held that government doesn’t have to pay you ANY benefits no matter HOW much you paid into the system.
  5. The criminal act of counterfeiting that underpins our fiat currency system. See:
    The Money Scam, Form #05.053
    https://sedm.org/Forms/05-MemLaw/MoneyScam.pdf
  6. Telling you the WHOLE truth about how you can lawfully unvolunteer from the tax system.

Would you hire anyone to do anything for you who did any or all of the above in a completely free market where the government had to compete with others in delivering the service? NOT! The only reason people put up with such abuse is because:

  1. Government has a monopoly on everything it does.
  2. Like a mafia, it puts anyone in the private sector out of business who competes with anything it does.
  3. The result of the mafia is what we call “weaponization of government”, leaving you NO CHOICE but to do business with them. See:
    Weaponization of Government, FTSIG
    https://ftsig.org/weaponization-of-government/

Like any mafia, business, or organism, government’s main goal is always to:

  1. Protect and preserve mainly itself.
  2. Maximize pleasure and revenue.
  3. Minimize risk and accountability.
  4. Expand its power relentlessly, until there is NO PRIVATE property left to steal because it owns or at least controls everything.

The main motivation behind everything you hear in a corrupted society will inevitably be the “love of money”. There is no sense fretting or whining about the above. It’s just a FACT of life. The result of this love of money is:

  1. Increasing financial pressures put on politicians and governments to use “welfare state” benefits to BRIBE voters to vote for them or their party.
  2. The debts and chronic deficits this system creates.
  3. The inflation the debts and deficits produce.
  4. The additional tax receipts that the inflation causes as a fake sort of “profit”.
  5. The conflicts of interest the above creates within governments to “balance the budget”.
  6. The increasingly creative and sinister ways of raising revenue that all the above only encourage.

All the above puts enormous political pressure on government, politicians, and the legal profession who patronize them to keep the revenue flowing to pay for things which, in many cases, most people don’t even want based on the above. This completely destroys any possibility that you will ever hear the truth out of any member of these groups. The following document, for example, explains HOW these groups use “legalese” to routinely and habitually deceive you:

Legal Deception, Propaganda, and Fraud, Form #05.014
https://sedm.org/Forms/05-MemLaw/LegalDecPropFraud.pdf

It’s a dog-eat-dog world out there. You won’t hear the truth from any government, legal professional, or even any tax professional. If you want the truth, you will have to go HUNTING for it and fact-check EVERYTHING that EVERYONE tells you. Our motto on this subject is:

“Listen to everyone, but trust NO ONE”
[FTSIG]

The above even applies to what we tell you on this website. Whatever anyone tells you that can have a serious or legal consequences to you personally you should fact check to decide the truth independently for yourself using the third party research tools we provide. If you don’t, you can certainly expect to be taken of advantage of by silver tongue devils in the legal profession. If you hire a legal professional, he must be put under a microscope for the reasons above. Fact checking tools are available at:

We don’t intend by this article to make you literally PARANOID. Rather, we seek to ensure that you are REALISTIC in every interaction involving the government or the legal profession. Below is our favorite proverb on this subject:

“Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean the world isn’t REALLY out to get you!.”
